Avaloch Farm Music Institute is a unique chamber music residency in scenic Boscawen, New Hampshire. Avaloch provides chamber music ensembles the time and space to work intensively on repertoire, prepare for recordings, concerts or competitions, work with composers on commissions, and forge or reconnect to a group musical identity.
Since 2014, New Morse Code has been helping to curating and administrating Avaloch’s operations. From 2014-2017, we served as directors of Avaloch's New Music Initiative (NMI), a composer/performer incubator that allows ensembles and composers to work closely on generating material and workshopping new works. In 2017, we folded the NMI into the entire Avaloch season and took on the role of Co-Directors. In addition to beautiful facilities, scenic surroundings and astounding food, the concentration of creative musicians and composers working simultaneously stimulates artistic exchange planned and unplanned. Avaloch is a time of productive sharing, creative fecundity and great food (did I mention the food?)
