Hannah Lash's Violations
8pm, New Music New Haven, Yale School of Music New Haven, CT
FREE

Written for three singers, two pianists, percussion, and electronics, Hannah's Violations: The Loading Dock Project is inspired by a theft Hannah experienced, and, judging by the music of hers I've heard before, it will be direct, complex, and piercing.  We'll be closing a concert featuring music by five YSM faculty composers: Martin Bresnick, Ingram Marshall,  Jack Vees, and David Lang, whose Orpheus Over and Under—to be performed that night—has long been a favorite of mine.
